Silver A' Design Award Winner 2025
Within the spatial vocabulary of Arkiteam Architecture's Cibo Vita Office, the archetypal threshold finds contemporary expression through the curved glass partition, which functions as a symbolic membrane between collective activity and focused enclosure, inviting passage while marking meaningful transition between work modes. The terracotta palette carries deep cultural resonance, connecting to earth-building traditions, ceramic craft, and the warmth of hearth spaces, its presence transforming the potentially sterile corporate environment into something approaching domestic sanctuary. The herringbone pattern adorning the booth backdrop operates as a symbolic weave, traditionally associated with protective structures like fish bones or woven baskets, here suggesting shelter and containment within the larger open plan. The paired globe sconces function as symbolic beacons, their spherical completeness and warm luminosity evoking lantern traditions that marked gathering places and wayfinding points across cultures. The curving overhead luminaire traces an arc that recalls celestial movement, its sweeping gesture creating a canopy of light that psychologically defines territory without physical enclosure. The tripartite color harmony of terracotta warmth, viridian coolness, and neutral mediation might be understood as representing productive balance: the passionate engagement symbolized by warm hues, the clarity and calm suggested by cool tones, and the grounding neutrality that allows both to coexist. The terrazzo flooring embeds geological time into the workspace, its aggregate fragments functioning as a collection of individual elements unified within a cohesive matrix, perhaps reflecting organizational ideals of diverse contributions within collaborative unity. The organic curves throughout, from booth edges to pendant arcs to glass enclosure radii, resist the rigidity traditionally associated with corporate environments, instead suggesting natural forms, growth patterns, and the human preference for the irregular geometries found in nature rather than the strict orthogonals of pure industrial efficiency.
The Cibo Vita Office blends wellness, innovation, and sustainability through natural wood and abundant greenery. Its open layout fosters collaboration, while soft pastel tones enhance energy and inspiration. The welcoming lobby features a product trial island for an engaging experience, and the educational center supports creativity and teamwork. Designed for both aesthetics and functionality, this space provides a comfortable and motivating work environment.
