Tengyuan Design's Greenway infrastructure encodes a rich symbolic vocabulary that speaks to humanity's evolving relationship with wilderness, stewardship, and the phenomenological experience of elevation and prospect. The tower's spiraling vertical ascent activates archetypal associations with the axis mundi, the cosmic pillar connecting earthly and celestial realms, while its latticed structure echoes both organic growth patterns found in crystalline formations and the branching geometries of the surrounding trees, suggesting a deliberate formal dialogue between technological and natural ordering systems. The weathering steel's chromatic development, transitioning from industrial gray to warm earth tones through oxidation, symbolically represents a material philosophy of participation rather than resistance, wherein built form embraces natural processes of transformation rather than asserting permanence against them. The horizontal bridge element functions as a threshold symbol, representing passage and transition between states of being, while its elevation above the forest floor transforms the familiar act of walking into an experience of aerial procession typically reserved for birds and clouds. The geometric triangulation of the structural bracing references both the inherent stability of the triangle in engineering and its spiritual associations with aspiration, ascent, and the harmonious resolution of dualities. Color symbolism operates through the warm-cool dialogue between oxidized steel and verdant forest, suggesting the complementary relationship between human creative intervention and natural abundance. The transparent glazing of viewing platforms symbolizes values of openness, accessibility, and the democratic invitation to witness landscape beauty, while the multi-tiered configuration embodies concepts of progressive revelation and the journey as transformation. The overall composition suggests a contemporary interpretation of the prospect-refuge theory, offering visitors both panoramic visual command and the psychological comfort of sheltered observation points within the wilderness embrace.
The design comes from the pinecone that can be seen everywhere on Fushan Mountain, which means rebirth and hope. Two paths to satisfy different people. The steps of the inner ring are suitable for a fast pass, and the ramps of the outer ring are suitable for strolling and sightseeing. The two paths converge on the viewing platform at the top, where people can enjoy a wonderful 360 degree visual experience. The project adopts renewable materials, low carbon technology, and assembly technology, which fully reflects the design concept of green, ecological, and open.
