The architectural language of Central Park Sales Office encodes a rich symbolic vocabulary where material choices and spatial configurations communicate cultural values and experiential intentions through carefully orchestrated formal relationships. The terracotta brick lattice functions as a contemporary interpretation of the architectural screen archetype, a threshold element appearing across global building traditions that simultaneously defines boundary and permits permeability, suggesting the liminal quality of the sales environment as a space between aspiration and acquisition, public and private realms. The warm earth tones of the brick carry associations of groundedness, tradition, and natural origins—the clay from which these modules derive connects symbolically to fundamental elements of earth and fire, the alchemical transformation of raw material through craft into architectural expression. The geometric regularity of the lattice pattern evokes mathematical order and cosmic harmony, the grid serving as a universal symbol of rational organization and human capacity to impose meaningful structure upon formless matter. Water, present as the reflective pool, traditionally symbolizes purification, reflection, and the threshold between conscious and unconscious realms; its mirror surface doubles the visual field while suggesting depths beneath apparent surfaces. The flowering tree introduces temporal symbolism—blossoms represent ephemeral beauty, seasonal renewal, and the preciousness of transient moments, while the vertical growth axis connects earthbound roots to celestial aspiration. Natural stone specimens, unworked and geological, provide counterpoint to human craft, honoring the timescales of planetary formation against the immediacy of architectural intervention. The processional spatial organization, drawing visitors along an axis toward light, recapitulates archetypal journey narratives of movement from darkness toward illumination, from uncertainty toward clarity. This synthesis of elements creates an environment that speaks to timeless human experiences of shelter, beauty, contemplation, and the meaningful organization of space.
The project is located at Xi'an, next to Xi'an's largest urban ecological park, about 113.4 hectares, and has become a natural landscape resource for the project. Every inch of land and every plant has got a very poetic expression. The designers hope to use the "Central Park" as the theme, combined with the guest line and use the "Introduction, elucidation, transition, and summary" design method to create a reception center with park experience.
